Trenton BJJ is a military recreational organization open to the public located at 8 wing CFB Trenton in Trenton Ontario.
Our mission is to provide instruction in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, the martial art developed by the famous Gracie family, to anyone regardless of age or fitness level. We provide instruction for both adults and children that is simple, direct, efficient, and a lot of fun.
We train and teach in a systematic manner with an athletic perspective in mind. Information and techniques are presented in a logical progression and drilling is done with an emphasis on the concept of "Aliveness", meaning, training against a moving and resisting opponent in order to develop the timing and abilities to apply techniques in real situations.
Competency and progress is gauged by one simple standard - the successful execution of techniques against an uncooperative opponent regardless of size and strength.
Our top priority is coaching you as an athlete so you can train at your fullest potential, NOT teaching you as a subordinate.
